How Long Does A Brazilian Wax Take

help for homeless people in Hamburg improve

The forthcoming Land Conference (LDK) of the Young Socialists Hamburg "Improving Care for the Homeless in Hamburg," we will introduce a motion on the subject.

Nearly 4,000 people are officially homeless in Hamburg. The real figure is likely much higher. On the road, which has about 1,000 people, the other covered persons are usually accommodated in support facilities. This number has decreased compared to 2002 by 22% and the number of long-term homeless, however, has increased. 2002 were still 29.2% of the homeless for more than 5 years down the road - 2009 there were already 35.3%. Basically, the drop in homeless numbers welcome, because it shows that homelessness is not an unsolvable problem. That is why it is unacceptable that in one of the richest cities in Europe, several thousand people homeless and sleeping under bridges and in doorways need. Effective help for homeless people far exceeds the supply of basic needs like food and shelter. The assistance to be overcoming the hardship must be the primary goal of a support system to help short-term homeless people quickly and efficiently to new housing and a parent living environment.

Therefore, we urge the Senate of Hamburg on
  • social housing for teaching homeless resume
  • more resources for a single room accommodation in central and easily accessible accommodation facilities to make available
  • work and availability of specialized agencies to significantly improve
  • also provide outreach ready tailored to the special needs of elderly or frail homeless situation
  • special outreach to homeless women develop and improve the supply
  • and also provide special facilities for mentally ill Homeless and provide support to existing successful projects financially.
the complete application you can read on the side of Jusos Hamburg. Have fun :-)

Why Do Guys Pee On Fires

Nazi ban now!

Yesterday we were on the counter-demonstration to the Nazi rally at Berlin's gate. The demo was a complete success, since nearly 3,000 hamburgers made against the pitiful 100 Nazis of the NPD, have
, thus sending a clear message against violence and brown the inhuman ideology of the NPD. We were SPDler with a large number of flags here, to demonstrate that we do not accept as a Democratic Party that clearly unconstitutional as grouping The NPD is not prohibited. It can not be that the Nazis received a vote of more than 1% even campaign support from the party financing.

Therefore we demand: The NPD should be banned!

that the riots were also from the Left, however, is more than regrettable. Nothing is more harmful in the fight against law, as violence in the ranks of the NPD's opponents. How can we the citizens
illustrate the accuracy of our claims when abusing a few brain exempt a demo as a battlefield. That is not the protest of these people as non-political riot, is shown by the fact that posters of the SPD piled up as barricades and were set on fire. The slogan on the burning posters: "NPD ban now!".

We fight for the minimum wage

Germany needs the legal minimum wage of 7.50 € / hour, so that everyone who works full time, can live like this. It is unacceptable that in some sectors, wages of just under 4 € / hour be paid, and people in addition to a full time job still have to apply for ALG II. No one wants to undermine collective bargaining, but where it does not lead to fair wages, must protect the legal minimum wage workers from exploitation. For this, we fight!

Hamptons House Rentals After Prom

Jusos BUH and Young Socialists in the northern U.S. Consulate

Barack Obama is 115 days since President. He presents himself to the world as a bridge builder and problem solver. But what is so special and new about his politics? What distinguishes him next to the charm and charisma that characterized him no doubt, from his predecessor? What to expect from the Obama administration - and what is not?

To make these issues on the ground have located 30 Jusos gathered at the invitation of Young Socialists and Barmbek-Nord Uhlenhorst-Hohenfelde before the U.S. General Consulate of the Alster in Hamburg. You expect a party that stands to them to answer questions. Fortunately, they are invited. Otherwise they would hardly come to the heavily armed policemen, the barriers and bullet-proof security room over. Two security checks later, the group is in the lobby of the consulate. There they are received by Genevieve Libonati, the Consul for Economic and Policy, with coffee, juice and biscuits. But this warm welcome Visitors can not be distracted from their critical issues. Only a few minutes is chatted in the halls of the magnificent Art Nouveau villa, met and met again, until finally all impatient to flow into the debate hall.

Consul Libonati first in her introductory lecture gives a detailed overview of the main stations of President Obama's foreign policy since taking office. Then they can save themselves from critical issues barely. How much can the Palestinians to leave in their desire for an independent state on Obama? What is intended by the sudden opening to Cuba? How to make a rapprochement with Russia compatible with a target of NATO membership for Georgia? Obama is the importance of development aid? What will change in relation to the climate? Will the U.S. agree to the establishment of global regimes of financial markets and to submit these as well? What role does the European Union's foreign policy concept of Obama? What will do the new U.S. administration to improve relations with Iran have? to speak

When Ms. Libonati on the nuclear program of Iran is a controversial debate begins over the course of the U.S. in the nuclear dispute. Against a program for civilian use of nuclear energy would not object in principle, says the Consul. Against a nuclear weapons program of a state that has no established democratic system and turns extremely aggressive rhetoric against his neighbors already. Therefore, should an Iranian nuclear weapons program can be prevented. Overall, consolidated itself in the discussion of the impression that Obama is quite different in real policies of his predecessor, Bush. He initiated a comprehensive climate package ordered, the day after his election to close Guantanamo within a year, although there remain the special tribunals. His cooperative political style may also be the basis to create the world trust and to attract partners. His openness he showed in his first interview after taking office, he gave the Arabic channel El Arabiya. His attempts, the peace policy in the Middle East to breathe new life by the new special envoy Mitchel, who has collaborated on crucial cease-fire in Northern Ireland, one of his best diplomats out into the field.

Of course Mrs. Libonati diplomat and well-trained to rhetorically circumvent controversial topics in a charming way to. And of course she was concerned, their country and their president a good thing as possible to sell. So you could expect from the outset no sensational insights into the foreign policy strategy of the United States, though the panelists and then tried to lure the Consul a bit from the reserve.

Perhaps we should guard against too much optimism advance. Obama does not rule alone and must first of all take to the concerns and sensibilities of his countrymen regard. Also limits the current financial crisis, the financial scope of a U.S. administration so that large jumps for example, currently in development policy will be virtually impossible. Even the desire for regulation of international Financial markets could lead to a global monitoring institution, which the United States, as in the case of the International Criminal Court to submit, even not. No, this is the case would be completely different, says Ms. Libonati, the U.S. has a global regulation of financial markets in favor, including the U.S..

Some doubts about U.S. foreign policy could not dispel woman Libonati. Nevertheless, we were wiser and later the Young Socialists were largely in agreement that is possible with the new U.S. administration a fresh start in international politics. By Obama's communications and Charmoffensive the last few weeks the U.S. has recovered a lot of confidence in the world that they had under President George W. Bush squandered lightly. Its strategy of confrontation has given way to a strategy of diplomacy. Instead of dividing the world into good and evil, Obama is looking for similarities. This alone is cause for optimism.

We thank Consul Libonati for an open and engaged discussion and look forward to seeing you again soon.

How To Watch South Park On Ipad

panel discussion panel discussion

Organised by our panel discussion on "Homelessness in Hamburg - A solvable 'problem' was a complete success. In the House of youth organizations discussed Inca Damerau, Uwe Riez, Josef Laupheim and Stephan Karrenbauer engaged on the problem of homelessness, the Hamburg-help system and solution or improvement. The speakers were basically in agreement that there are quite a large number of auxiliary facilities in Hamburg. The area of provision designed to prevent homelessness, however difficult, and is from a regulatory perspective to accomplish little. Also, a larger network of social support among themselves and with the competent authorities have not been optimal, although there are other viable approaches to enhanced communication. One of the biggest problems is that social housing Hamburg moved back into more and more will, and in many cases it simply is not possible to accommodate homeless people in socially assisted housing. So many rehabilitation programs amount to nothing.

The Jusos BUH thank the speakers for a lively and interesting discussion, be the basis for our continued work on homelessness.

Moonstone Ring Maplestory Quest

homelessness in Hamburg -
A solvable "problem"?

Thursday, 29 January 2009, 19 clock
house of youth associations, Güntherstr. 34, 22087 Hamburg
(U2 Uhlandstraße)

Hamburg is one of the richest cities in Europe with a well-developed support system. Despite this large number of institutions and aid agencies, are several thousand people living on the street. At the same time, retailers often complain about economic damage from the residence of beggars and homeless people in downtown and calls the "big broom."

But why people live on the street? What support services exist in Hamburg, and suffice you? What must be done to improve the situation?

discuss with us:

  • Inca Damerau , Bodelschwingh house Barmbek and Deputy SPD regional chairman

  • Stephan Karrenbauer , Hinz & Kunzt

  • Josef Laupheimer , Caritas Hamburg eV

  • Uwe Riez , Ministry for Social and Family Affairs, Health and Consumer Protection, Hamburg

For better planning, we request a short application to 22 January under jusosbuh@web.de.
